”Souskiou is the name given to a complex of sites comprising a settlement and four discrete cemeteries, all dating to the Chalcolithic period (Pl. 1.1–2) located to the SW of the modern (now abandoned) village of that name. Souskiou has been known to looters since at least the middle of the last century when it first came to the attention of Iliffe and Mitford (1952), who were working in the village of Kouklia, 2.5 km to the south.
