Patricia Jordan, well-known gardener and feature writer, has li ved in Singapore, Germany, Northen Ireland and Scotland, before moving to Cyprus in 2000. She has been a member of teh Royal Horticultural Society in 2000, for outstanding services to Scottish Horticulture.

She is a much suoght after speaker on gardening subjects and has given lectures in New Zealand, America, Scotland and both sides of the “Green Line” in Cyprus including a lecture on the origins of the gardens on the island to the Worshipful Company of Gardeners on their recent visit to Cyprus.

Her knowledge of gardening in different climates, icluding Cyprus, led to her writing three books – The Cyprus Garden, The Potted Garden and the Cyprus Orchard, to assist gardeners living in a climate of very hot summers and sometimes cold winters. Now, because of the thread of global warming and worldwide climate change, she has turned her attention to flowering plants that can cope in extremely hot climates wih this book on “Flowering Plants on Hot Gardens”.
