Κυπριακό – Της Υπέρβασης (Παρτιτούρα) / Kypriaka – Of Transcendence (Sheet Music)

Description

Το Κυπριακό – Της Υπέρβασης ξεκίνησε ως μουσική για το ντοκιμαντέρ “Πολ Γεωργίου” (παραγωγής ΡΙΚ και Υπουργείου Παιδείας και Πολιτισμού της Κύπρου, 2001). Συνετέθη για τρία έγχορδα τον Απρίλη του 2002, ενώ τα σήμαντρα προστέθηκαν οριστικά αργότερα (συναυλία “ΚΥΠΡΟΣ – ΙΑΠΩΝΙΑ / Δύση κι Ανατολή”, Λευκωσία – 16/10/2010). Πρωτοπαρουσιάστηκε μόνο με βιολί και βιόλα (συναυλία “ΚΥΠΡΙΑΚΑ – Σύγχρονη Μουσική Εμπνευσμένη από την Κυπριακή Παράδοση”, Λευκωσία – 18/4/2002). Αργότερα παίχτηκε και με βιολοντσέλο ή κοντραμπάσο και με σήμαντρα σε διάφορες περιπτώσεις, με πιο πρόσφατες την τελευταία συναυλία του συνθέτη στην Κίνα (10/12/2011) και συναυλία των μελών της Συμφωνικής Ορχήστρας Κύπρου στη Λευκωσία (8/12/2012).

Kypriako – Of Transcendence began as music for the documentary “Paul Georgiou” (produced by Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation and the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus, 2001). It was composed for three strings in April 2002, while the simantra were definitively added later (concert “CYPRUS – JAPAN / West and East”, Nicosia – 16/10/2010). It was first performed only with violin and viola (concert “KYPRIAKA – Contemporary Music Inspired by the Cypriot Tradition”, Nicosia – 18/4/2002). Later it was performed adding the violoncello or the double bass and with simantra on various occasions, the most recent being the composer’s last concert in China (10/12/2011) and a concert by members of the Cyprus Symphonic Orchestra in Nicosia (8/12/2012).
