Description

The Vision of Constantine the Great of the Holy Cross with its laconic instruction “By This Conquer”, prior to his battle against Maxentius near Rome in 312, was one of the most diplomatic visions ever seen by any statesman. It directed the route of history, religious and artistic evolution of mankind for many centuries. The reputed discovery of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem by his mother Helena a few years later, sealed the success of Constantine’s vision and her faith elevated the discovered Holy Woods to place of honour rarely met in history.
