The most recent scientific publication which concetrates on the garments of the donators who appear on portable icons and frescoes found in Cyprus and dated in 1500-1586. Through this examination, Dr Stella Frigerio-Zeniou make some observations on the fashion of the epoch, its development and the social backround of the donators in parallel with the historic events. Stella Frigerio-Zeniou studied Art History at the University of Geneve, where she obtain her PhD Thesis on Italian-Byzantine art in Cyprus of 16th century (edited by the Hellenic Institut of Byzantine Studies and Post-Byzantine Studies of Venice).
