In 1976 the Lions Club of Nicosia (Cosmopolitan) chose as its long-term project the publication of a volume that would honour Porphyrios Dikaios, the Cypriote scholar. These intellectuals spend their lives working quietly and humbly to promote Cyprus and its culture beyond its geographical boundaries. The internationally renowned archaeologist reflects this spirit and the book is dedicated to his memory.
